Product Overview

The DQM100, part of XKL’s muxsponder family, comes with either one or two 100G DWDM channels, each of which employs a tunable 100Gbps coherent CFP transceiver. DQM100 systems also utilize a unique statistical multiplexing technology to manage the aggregation of 10G Ethernet services for better bandwidth shaping and control. DQM100 systems are ready to grow up to 36 channels by adding an XKL Mux/Demux (DMD). The DQM100 easily integrates with other XKL muxponders, and with our distributed architecture, capacity can be added as needed.

Technical Features

Client Services:
  • 3 or 6 (QSFP+) ports: Up to 240Gbps client-side services.
Line Side:
  • 1 or 2 (CFP) channels: 100Gbps or 200Gbps line-side bandwidth.
Capacity:
  • Growth up to 36 channels (on the same fiber pair) with the addition of a DarkStar DMD Mux/Demux.
Field Replaceable Units:
  • Field-replaceable dual flash storage modules; one is write-protected.
  • Hot-swap laser transceivers: QSFP+, Optical Service Channel (OSC).
  • Hot-swap power supplies (1+1 Redundant).
  • Hot-swap fan units.
